Have you ever been somewhere that made you feel not only connected to the earth, but to something beyond it? Something sacred and difficult to describe - something you can sense, but cannot quite put your finger on? A place that feels almost heavenly, otherworldly?

Thin Places - The Echo After Goodbye explores the ancient notion that there are sacred places on earth where the physical world and the spiritual realm come closest together. In these rare places, the veil between this life and the eternal, or the unknown, feels porous, thin enough to cross.

This is what I experienced in a particular, secluded place along the McKenzie River, a place I returned to many times over the course of several years. There was something there that seemed to exist beyond the ordinary - a quiet presence, a feeling of connection that transcended words.

I no longer go there. But some places leave more than a memory behind. They become part of us, lingering somewhere between place and spirit, absence and presence.
That place still echoes in my soul.
