Collection: Barbara Berry
Barbara Berry is a contemporary American painter based in Sisters, Oregon, whose work is inspired by the landscapes, wildlife, and rural character of the American West. Known for her expressive use of color and light, she creates impressionistic paintings that capture the beauty and emotional atmosphere of nature, often featuring aspens, horses, and Western landscapes. Raised near Philadelphia in an artistic family, Berry developed a passion for art early in life and later earned degrees in fine art and art education.
Before fully dedicating herself to painting, Berry enjoyed a successful career as a classical soprano, performing leading opera roles throughout Europe for nearly two decades. After returning to the United States, she focused on fine art and teaching, exhibiting her work across the western U.S. and creating commissioned artwork for regional events, including the Sisters Rodeo. Her paintings are held in private collections throughout the United States and abroad, reflecting her lifelong connection to art, music, and the natural world.
