Legends of the Fall

An early autumn leaf lilts and bobs upon a rock, barely holding its place. Its bright yellow edges glow in the sunlight, illuminating its delicate form. At any moment, it may surrender to the current and float downstream like a tiny boat.

Its sister leaves drift past, beckoning it to let go. Where will it end up? Will its pulpy body slowly dehydrate, leaving behind a fragile, skeletal form to be carried by the wind among the rocks? Or will it surrender to the river, breaking down and becoming part of the riverbed?

Legends of the Fall celebrates the delicate, fleeting, and transformative nature of autumn. It is a meditation on impermanence and renewal, a reminder that sometimes it is okay to let go, trust the current, and float onward into the next season.
