Lester Jay Stone is an artist of remarkable skill and talent. He is a native of the state of Washington, now living and painting in Pennsylvania's Cumberland Valley. His work includes portraits, landscapes, and maritime art. His paintings may be found in the permanent collections of the U.S. Capital, Washington, D.C.; the U.S. Naval Academy; the Navy Combat Art Collection; and the U.S. Defense University- always realistic - runs from subtle to bold.

Magnificent original impressionist-style landscape oil on board,  framed in a beautiful wooden frame. The painting measures 19.5"x23.5", and including the frame measures 28.5"x32.5". The late artist Hattie Blomberg, exhibited at the Seattle Art Museum in 1946 and was a member of the Authors and Artists of America. She went to school at WSU and studied with great artists like Guy Anderson, A. Vandewerker, Vanessa Helder, Ken Dower and George Laismer. She is also listed in the WA State Art and Artist book by Sherburne F. Cook Jr.
